               Mini Australian Shepherds
The mini Aussie can have a variety of different types of looks.
However they should look like the standard Aussie and not be
out of proportion in conformation.
The few mini's that we have are from some of our Standard
size aussie's but fall into the Miniature size guide lines. Thunder
one of our stud dogs for years was a smaller dog in size even though
he had parents that were well within the standard measurements.
When we bred him with a larger size female the pups reached
standard size and were/are great working and family dogs.
But in later years we bred him with smaller type and frame females &
Their offspring matured to the "Mini" Size.
Most of the original "Working" Lines of Aussies are the smaller more
athletic style of dogs--Which is what are majority of dogs come from.
We now have  true to size mini females-as well as two younger
females, that are daughters and granddaughters of "Thunder".
"Bella" is a 16" Beautiful Blue Merle with tan points and blue eyes.
"Dolly" is a 14" Wonderful Black and White with brown eyes.
"Sassy" is a Red Tri that  will be a year old in Feb. 2010
