                          Mini Australian Shepherds
The Miniature Australian Shepherd can have a variety of different types of looks.
However they should look like the Standard Australian Shepherd
and not be out of proportion in conformation.
The few mini's that we have are from some of our Standard
size aussie's but fall into the Miniature size guide lines. "Thunder"
one of our stud dogs for years was a smaller dog in size even though
he had parents that were well within the standard measurements.
When we bred him with a larger size female the pups reached
standard size and were/are great working and family dogs.
But in later years we bred him with smaller type and frame females &
Their offspring matured to the "Mini" Size.
Most of the original "Working" Lines of Aussies are the smaller more
athletic style of dogs--Which is what are majority of dogs come from.
We now have  true to size mini females-as well as two younger
females, that are daughters and granddaughters of "Thunder".
Spring 2011 we Purchased "Joe" a Blue Merle with White Markings and Tan Points
with a Blue eye  He is 15 1/2" tall and 25#
We will breeding him to our mini females (W/ the ex of Stixx).
"Stix" is a 15" Beautiful Blue Merle w/Tan points and a Blue eye, 20 mo old.
  "Dolly" is a 14" Wonderful Black/White Bi w/brown eyes, 2012 Litter planned
"Sassy" is a 15"Red Tri  Had Babies Fall 2011!!!
"Fire" Red Tri --Had Babies 12/4/11 (starting agility training)
  "Midge" A  14" Black/White Bi -- A year old in May 2011
